<p><strong>MILAN</strong> - Between 24 September and 9 October, a <em>long-term internship </em>was held alongside the Japanese partner of Inter Academy Health, iCure. There were 15 days of practical and theoretical learning on the methods used by the Nerazzurri’s medical staff in injury prevention and treatment on sportspeople.</p> <p>The activities which took place in the classroom and on the pitch featured the valuable support of partners and the club’s medical suppliers. The two physiotherapists involved had the chance to visit the headquarters of Sixtus Italia S.r.l, the Technogym showroom in Milan and they could test the machinery from Unibell s.rl, which owns the Human Tecar brand.</p> <p>One of the most memorable moments in the experience was the visit to the Suning Training Centre in Memory of Angelo Moratti with a focus on the instruments that are used by the First Team in their physical preparation and injury-prevention work. There was also the chance to see the pre-match warm-ups for Inter vs. Fiorentina and Inter vs. Cagliari from up close.</p> <p>The internship was coordinated by the Inter Academy staff who worked in close collaboration with the FC Internazionale Milano medical team led by Prof. Piero Volpi.</p> <p> </p>
