DE VRIJ: "I'M PLEASED TO BE PLAYING IN THE NETHERLANDS"

Tomorrow's match vs. PSV will be a return to the Nerazzurri defender's roots: "We're coming up against a team that can play really good football"

EINDHOVEN - Together with Samir Handanovic, Stefan De Vrij today took part in the Champions League press conference for PSV vs. Inter at the Phillips Stadion: “So far, PSV have only lost to Barcelona. They have speedy wingers and a talented striker who plays with great intensity. They play football really well as a team.”

As for playing back in his native Netherlands, De Vrij added: “I am pleased to be here and playing and I’ll have many friends and relatives at the game tomorrow. I expect it to be a great match with a fantastic atmosphere.

“Obviously beating Tottenham was important for us. We came into that game after losing to Parma and that result was needed to start our Champions League group in the best possible way. This match in Eindhoven will be important but it will certainly not be decisive in terms of group qualification. I am really settled here at Inter. I was welcomed in fantastic fashion and I feel part of the family. I am at a top club with millions of fans but the responsibility of wearing this shirt doesn’t scare me.”
