SPALLETTI: "WINNING LIKE THAT GIVES THE TEAM MENTAL CONSISTENCY"

The Coach after the dramatic win at Sampdoria: "We are Inter and we must always play to win and take risks. We are on the right path"

GENOA - Luciano Spalletti was rightly satisfied after his Inter side left Marassi with the win. It was a victory that came about at the death thanks to Marcelo Brozovic’s goal but it was earned with the patience of a great side. "This way of winning brings consistency to the character that the group showed in the last match," said the Nerazzurri Coach to DAZN.

"We were always in the game, fighting for every ball. We also took some risks but that is what we need to do, because we are Inter and we must always play to win. This is the mentality that counts and we upped the tempo as time went on. To see the team is on the right path gives me even more confidence in the tactical set-up that we are moving forward with. We need to be all together in bringing it forward, one by one and then we must also have even more strength to put it into practice."

Finally, there was a comment on his dismissal at the end. "Perhaps I screamed ‘goal’ with a bit too much enthusiasm but it was an important goal. I was not turning to the fourth official, but at the camera. It was almost a case of losing myself in the moment."
