The Nerazzurri attacker scored the game's opening goal with a great right-footed volley before then being substituted in the 62nd minute. Sime Vrsaljko also featured during the first half, while Marcelo Brozovic didn't play.
Meanwhile, the Netherlands beat Peru 2-1 and Slovakia triumphed over Denmark 3-0: neither Stefan De Vrij or Milan Skriniar played in either game.
