AMSTERDAM - Armando Madonna’s side took on Ajax away from home in a prestigious friendly on Saturday evening, with the game being played at the Ajax Youth Academy Stadium. It was a solid test for the Nerazzurri Under-19s, who pulled off an impressive two-goal comeback thanks to goals from Andrea Adorante (penalty) and Edoardo Vergani. Inter will now return to Milan to continue their preparations ahead of the sixth edition of the Trofeo Mamma Cairo, where the Nerazzurri will face Juventus on Friday 24 August in the quarter-finals. Meanwhile, the Primavera 1 TIM championship will begin on the weekend of September 15th.
The match in Amsterdam consisted of four 30-minute halves, with the first chance of the game falling to the Nerazzurri, who forced a good save from the opposition goalkeeper El Maach. He was then called into action once again towards the end of the first period, as he prevented the away side from taking the lead with another good save.
The hosts stepped it up after the break, soon taking the lead following a penalty from Brobbey in the 60th minute. The Dutch outfit then scored a second through Sint 10 minutes later. However, it was then the turn of Madonna’s side, who first responded through Adorante before Vergani then scored the decisive equaliser.
