PISA - "It was a good effort from a compact side. In the second half, we did better physically compared to the past two games." This was what Roberto Gagliardini said following the 3-3 friendly draw in Pisa between Inter and Zenit St Petersburg.
"They scored two amazing goals, there’s little to add about that. To get minutes under your belt helps but there’s more work to do and we’ll improve further. We wanted to put in a performance as a mature and compact side, also in order to respond following the Sion match. Today, we were tight and compact, we did better out on the pitch. This part of the season is tough on the legs and we lacked some focus because of this."
Gagliardini then discussed the Nerazzurri’s goals. "Antonio [Candreva] scored a great goal and we’re all happy for him because he’d been looking for it for a while. We’re also happy for Lautaro and Mauro, what’s important is that we score goals. So far, we’ve always seen lots of Inter fans ready to welcome us and it's something which is obviously very nice for us."
