SOCHI - There was a touch of Inter in Croatia’s win against Russia in the 2018 World Cup quarter-final at the Fisht Stadium in Sochi. It finished 1-1 after 90 minutes and 2-2 after extra time before Zlatko Dalic’s side beat the hosts from the penalty spot.
Ivan Perisic and Marcelo Brozovic both played an important role in the win. The first started and featured for 63 minutes, playing a role in the goal to make it 1-1 and only the post prevented him from making it 2-1. He then made way for his club teammate who made no mistake from the spot, scoring the first penalty for Croatia as they went on to qualify.
On Wednesday 11th July at 20:00 CEST, Croatia will take on England for a place in the final at Russia 2018.
