ROSTOV-ON-DON - It was yet another enjoyable World Cup evening for Croatia on Tuesday, as they beat Iceland 2-1 to finish top of Group D on maximum points and successfully move through to the round of 16 in Russia.
The Nerazzurri’s Ivan Perisic played a key role for the entire 90 minutes, scoring an impressive winner that determined the final result. Inter’s other Croatian, Marcelo Brozovic, remained on the bench.
Croatia will now take on Denmark in their first knock-out round on Sunday 1st July.
