MILAN - On Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th March, the San Siro will open its doors to give behind the scenes access to the "Scala of Football". For the first time, the world famous Milanese venue will be open for visits as part of the FAI's "Giornate di Primavera" programme.
A special village area will be set up behind the barriers which will be accessible at the start and end of the tour. FC Internazionale will organise family activities in this area.
Entry will be free with the public encouraged instead to donate to the Fondo Ambiente Italiano charity. Parts of the stadium that are usually closed off during matches such as the changing rooms, tunnel and the dugouts will be freely accessible. The event is expected to be a hit on social media as visitors will be able to take photos and see them up on the big screen inside the stadium by posting them on Instagram with the hashtag #SanSiroFai.
At the end of the stadium tour, guests can visit the San Siro Store - Official Merchandising, the official shop at the Meazza. The 90-year history of the San Siro has united football fans and many more over four generations and the stadium is undoubtedly one of the city's most important sites for bringing together families, supporters and tourists.
