MINSK - On Wednesday, collaboration between Inter Academy and the football school at FSM Minsk was announced.
The press conference was held at the headquarters of the Belarusian Football Federation with BFF President Sergei Rumas, FSM Director Nikolai Murashko, Inter Academy Technical Director Marco Monti, Business Developer in Global Youth Business Alessandro Antonucci and former footballer and Belarus star Vitali Kutozov were all in attendance.
"Inter Academy has the objective of sharing technical knowhow abroad," said Marco Monti. "We train local coaches so that talent can be developed in Belarus according to the Inter Academy methodology. This allows a young footballer to grow and develop as a person in their home environment."
"As part of the Soviet Union, we achieved significant results for a long time but then at a certain point our level of success decreased," added Nikolai Murashko. "Now, we need new technologies and methodologies and it’s difficult to think of a better teacher than a club with 110 years of history."
The partnership will last for multiple years and start in June with two weeks of the Summer Camp in Minsk when training will begin with the Inter Academy methodology.
In September, the FSM Minsk coaches will take part in a internship aimed at their development in Milan at the Suning Youth Development Centre in Memory of Giacinto Facchetti. Later, a coach from Inter Academy will head to the Belarusian capital to monitor progress and work on the ground with the young local players.
