MILAN - Following the tragic passing of Davide Astori last Sunday, Serie A TIM matches will now resume this weekend. The Nerazzurri will be in action on Saturday 11th March at 20:45 CET, taking on Maurizio Sarri’s Napoli side in week 28.
The season’s earlier encounter, played out at the Stadio San Paolo on October 21st 2017, was finely balanced. Luciano Spalletti’s side ultimately secured a hard-fought 0-0 draw, who up until that point had secured eight wins from their first eight matches.
Despite losing 4-2 to Roma at home last Saturday, Napoli still occupy first place in the Serie A league standings and sit on 69 points. However, Juventus do have a game in hand against Atalanta. So far Sarri’s side have recorded 22 wins, three draws and two defeats, scoring 62 goals and conceding just 19. From a statistical perspective, Napoli and Inter have clashed 143 times in Serie A, with the Nerazzurri edging it with 63 wins to 45. There have also been 35 draws.
Inter vs. Napoli will be officiated by Daniele Orsato from Schio. He will be assisted by Di Fiore and Manganelli, while Banti will be the fourth official. Massa and Giallatini will both operate VAR.
