MILAN - QuBi- Quanto Basta- with their desire to eradicate child poverty sees the two Milan sides unite to combat the situation where thousands of parents struggle to provide adequate levels of food for their children.

During the match between AC Milan and Internazionale Milano on Sunday night at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, the two clubs will attend the symbolic launch of the project. There will be a number of activites on the pitch and in the stands. At the end of the first half, a banner will be shown with the project’s logo, message and the address of the initiative’s new website  http://ricettaqubi.it.

During the half-time break at 21:30 CET, a 45 second long video teaser will be shown on the big screens where the President of the Fondazione Cariplo will Giuseppe Guzzetti will offer an overview of the current situation. A map showing poverty in the Lombard capital will be shown along with a plan of action for the next three years. "We’re happy that the world of sport has embraced our appeal," said Giuseppe Guzzetti. "The derby is just the start, we’re counting on setting up other collaborations. We need to build a special team to fight poverty among children and their families. It’s unacceptable that so many people live in such conditions. The worlds of sport, show-business, music and culture can do a lot to help us reach our objective."

Today in Milan, one in ten children lives in a state of absolute poverty. In looking at recent trends, there is concern that this is a number that is rising. Estimates from the Fondazione Cariplo state that in 2016, income support previsions tallied up to 20.8 million Euros for 19,181 families and a total of 54,493 people. 9,433 families with minors were reached, with a total of 19,703 minors offered assistance.
