MILAN - Having scored his fourth goal of the season on Saturday evening, Milan Skriniar is now the top-scoring defender in Serie A. This was what he had to say after the match at the Meazza: “It was a difficult game. It wasn’t a great performance but we played better after our second goal. Ranocchia and I must now continue like this. These two goals feel like a bit of compensation after our performance against Genoa. Transfer market? I want to remain here. I am happy to be here and we’re now focused on the derby.
“It was a very difficult match. They played well and they were confident. We must play better, retaining more of the ball and then making the breakthrough straight away. This result is important ahead of the derby - it gives us confidence.
“It’s only normal for the fans not to be happy. Let’s hope to sort everything out next week. I'm happier for Ranocchia’s goal. He is a great person and a top player and he deserves it.”
