MILAN - The Under-19 Nerazzurri’s European adventure in the UEFA Youth League will continue today, as they prepare to take on Spartak Moscow in a playoff at the San Siro. This is what coach Stefano Vecchi had to say to Inter TV prior to the match: “Following our game against Verona, we must now get our ideas back in order for what will be a really important match,” he said. “You almost have to prepare for a UEFA Youth League game just by itself. The lads see it as a unique fixture and the hope is that they are motivated and determined. However, we also want them to be calm and relaxed despite the fact that it is such an important game.
“Football is a bit different in Europe, it is less contrived than it is in Italy. Spartak Moscow are a strong team. They are physical and they’re ruthlessly competitive. We are expecting it to be a tough game. We must try to demonstrate our abilities out on the pitch because it is normal for the playing level to be high once you’ve reached this point.”
