MILAN - It was the 45th title for the Nerazzurri’s youth system and the 16th in the past 6 years, the 23rd in the Primavera category. "It’s the trophy that we were lacking so we really wanted it," said the Director Roberto Samaden. "I think that it was a deserved win and I thank everyone who came to support us at San Siro, the coaches and guys from our development centres."
"It was a great challenge against Roma which we’re used to. My compliments to the Giallorossi’s youth system because they’ve been excellent in this regard along with ourselves. Today’s win is the reward for our teamwork and the input of a figure like Stefano Vecchi who has brought together what is asked of a Primavera coach, developing players and getting results. It was him who applied the finishing touches to something that stemmed from a long time ago."
"Now, we need to just think about continuing to work because there are other important competitions still going on but it’s daily work above all. I also thank the club because the entire club was here to support us as always. Let’s hope that this triumph is a promising sign for 2018 for the Nerazzurri."
