MILAN - With just minutes remaining until the start of the #DerbyMilano in the TIM Cup, the Nerazzurri’s sporting director Piero Ausilio had this to say to Rai Sport: “Tonight’s match is very important. We care a lot about this competition and we’ll try to tackle it in the best way possible. As for Inter struggling? Let’s not forget that apart from the last two results, our season has been going well. There have been a few hiccups but talk of a crisis is over the top. Spalletti and the entire club believe in this team.”
As January approaches, he was inevitably also asked about the transfer market: “We don’t think that our squad is perfect, but we know that it is strong. We will see if there is a chance in the market to improve our team even further. Pastore? His quality cannot be questioned, but for now, it is too early to talk about anything. I also know the limits that we have. They are not of a technical nature but we must still work within them.”
