They were stronger in the second half, while we were in the first. We could have done something better this evening, although there are always opponents out on the pitch. Our mentality should be to never rest on our laurels as we always want to win.”
Saturday’s result was yet another clean sheet for the Nerazzurri shot-stopper, which is now his eighth this season: “The squad defends and attacks as an 11-man unit. The coach also deserves special credit for drilling this into us. His backroom staff also work extremely hard in helping us in every phase of play. We know that the Italian league honours the best defences, therefore, this is an important stat.”
