ROMA - Stefano Vecchi’s Under-19 side today secured their second successive Primavera 1 TIM league draw, with their match against Lazio at the Stadio Mirko Fersini in Formello finishing 1-1 on matchday 12.
Inter began strongly on Saturday, instantly putting the hosts under pressure and Rover having the Nerazzurri’s first real chance of the match. Lazio soon grew into the game and began to threaten on the counter-attack, with Pissardo producing a good save to keep out Sarac from close-range.
Lazio managed to open the scoring just before half time, with a fine long-range strike finding its way past Pissardo. Despite this setback, Inter’s attitude remained just as strong, with their efforts eventually paying dividends come the 55th minute. The equaliser came thanks to a precise finish from Zaniolo, who made no mistake after an assist from Odgaard.
Vecchi’s side pushed hard for a winner late on, although eventually had to settle for just a well-earned point.
