DRIVE INTER: THE SECOND EPISODE WITH DANIELE PADELLI

The Nerazzurri goalkeeper during the car journey: "Becoming a father changed my life for the better. San Siro gives you an incredible feeling"

APPIANO GENTILE – The second episode of Inter TV’s Wednesday show Drive Inter saw Daniele Padelli star in the journey with Volvo where he had to complete an acting challenge, becoming a cowboy.

Soon after leaving, there was a question about Skriniar. “He’s very strong and good. He doesn’t get taken over by emotion, he’s a really excellent player. An important signing.”

Daniele has Nerazzurri DNA. “I’ve always been an Interista, I even changed a picture of Pagliuca when I was small. To become the Inter goalkeeper was always my dream. I want to emulate him, become like him, looking to do what he did for Inter.”

Padelli recently became a father. “It was one of the best days of my life,” he said. “I’ll never forget it. It’s changing my life, it’s making my life better. To wake up with your son by your side makes you smile and it’s something wonderful.”

How do you try to save a penalty? “There aren’t a lot of thoughts, you try to analyse the moment, the run-up and how the attacker is set to shoot. The goals are certainly watched and analysed before. A goalkeeper has a lot to gain from penalties, if you’re able to save it you’re doing something important.”

Finally, Daniele spoke about the stadium. “San Siro is one of the most beautiful stadiums in the world,” he said. “To play there as an opponent is very difficult. Unfortunately, I’ve still not had the honour of playing there as an Inter player but I experienced the derby and other matches from the inside and I had indescribable feelings, it’s a stadium which transmits a lot, it gives you energy. It’s a stadium of excellence.”
