MIRANDA: "I WILL ALWAYS GIVE MY ALL FOR INTER, I WANT TO WIN SOMETHING WITH THIS CLUB"

The Brazilian defender had a live Q&A sessions with fans on Facebook: "Our manager gives us faith. Skriniar is a great player and we can fight for the title"

APPIANO GENTILE – Joao Miranda had an exclusive live chat on Inter TV and on the club’s official Facebook page. The Brazilian defender took time to answer some of the questions from the fans. Some of them also used the website of TIM, a nerazzurri Top Partner, to address the player.

"I think we can fight for the title, but first of all we have to focus on the Torino game. Our main goal is to qualify for the Champions League. Skriniar is a great player and is doing well. It was easy to adapt to playing with him, he can become one of the best five centre backs in the world, at least in his generation."

"Our manager is doing a great job. He expects a lot from us, but he also gives us faith in ourselves. We are doing well and we hope to continue this way. Every player knows what he needs to do and has the right attitude. We work hard during the week to perform at the weekend. I will always give my all for Inter, I like winning but it hasn’t happened here yet. My goal is still the same: to win trophies with the nerazzurri."

"During my career I have faced the best strikers in the world, from Messi to Ronaldo, from Dzeko to Higuain. I like playing in a four man defence, because it gives you more opportunities to play on the ball. Our fans are great; their support is fantastic, especially at San Siro. The atmosphere against AC Milan in the derby was superb, any player would love that."

"For a defender it’s easier to play in Italy. Tactics play a great role here and the teams defend better than in other countries. For a striker it might be better to play in Spain, where technique is more important. When things go well, everything is easier, but you have to be a leader in all situations."

There was also room for some personal stories: "I love visiting Italy as a tourist. My favourite dish? Lasagne, although I can’t cook myself. When I was a child, I used to get up to watch Ayrton Senna in F1. On the pitch I only speak Italian to all of my team mates. The funniest of them is Eder, he’s always cracking jokes to everybody. Handanovic on the other hand, is serious on the pitch, but very funny off it."
