PRIMAVERA 1 TIM ATALANTA 2-0 INTER

Goals from Melegoni and Barrow decided the match on matchday four in Primavera 1 TIM

AZZANO SAN PAOLO – Stefano Vecchi’s Under-19s were beaten for the first time this season as they lost 2-0 away to Atalanta. After four league matches, the side remain on seven points.

The home side were on top early on with Melegoni standing out. The midfielder went close in the seventh minute with a powerful right-foot strike that narrowly missed while he hit the woodwork in the 17th minute. Vecchi’s side responded in the 29th minute through Zaniolo who was set up by Odgaard before hitting the side netting.

Early in the second half, Melegoni had enough space in the 52nd minute to find the net from the edge of the air. Inter looked to respond straight away as Danso fired narrowly over. Vecchi brought on Rover and Belkheir on but Atalanta went close to doubling their lead though Kulusevski in the 59th and 63rd minutes. In the 67th minute, Rover hit the bar from an Emmers corner. Despite the attacking efforts of Vecchi’s side, Atalanta went two goals up in the 82nd minute as Barrow scored.
