MILAN - This is what the Nerazzurri sporting director Piero Ausilio had to say to Premium Sport just minutes before the match against Genoa: “We did not put in a good performance against Bologna, but we are are enjoying a period of growth and today we must try to achieve continuity in front of our own fans. We have worked well during the week, and we want to win this game against Genoa. Our squad has a lot of players and the coach can choose from many individuals who play at international level. We know what are objective is and this doesn’t change despite who we send out onto the pitch.”
The 16-year-old starlet Pellegri will be leading the opposition’s attack at the San Siro, although Ausilio was keen to also focus on many of Inter’s promising youth prospects: “He is a great player and we know him well. However, one must remember that here at Inter we also have a number of strong young players such as Pinamonti, Odgaard, Colidio and Vergani.”
