MILAN – Stefano Vecchi’s Primavera side are set to begin the season tomorrow with kick-off at 10:30 CEST at the Suning Development Centre in Memory of Giactino Facchetti. “There’s a great desire to go again, we had a long pre-season with a lot of tournaments and friendlies in order to develop a new winning team,” said the coach to Inter Channel. “Now, it’s time for the matches which count and we have to be ready. It won’t be simple against Udinese, they have international players and they’ve always made games difficult.”
“Last year, we struggled a bit to find the right balance but then we enjoyed the fruits of our labour. This year, it seems that we’re a bit further forward but we still have to show what we can do on the pitch.” Inter’s Under-19s will be out to defend the Scudetto won on 11th June. “To wear the shirt with the flag on it is a cause of pride but it also bring extra responsibility. This year we’re one of the favourites and we’ll give our all in every competition.”
