SINGAPORE – Alongside Luciano Spalletti at Friday's news conference to preview the match against Chelsea at Singapore National Stadium was Geoffrey Kondogbia.
The midfielder insisted the Nerazzurri want to build on their victory over Bayern with another win against the Blues, before touching on his ambitions for the coming campaign and recent arrival Borja Valero.
“We'll be up against a superb team tomorrow and we must be ready for them. We'll try to win the game just as we have in our previous fixtures.
“My personal aim is to keep doing better and better and it's the same for all my team-mates. I'll try to improve on last season but it's more about the team.
“We're Inter and we have to be playing in the Champions League. There are lots of sides in the mix but if we work hard and work well I'm sure we can achieve our goals.
“Borja Valero is a fantastic midfielder and it's good to be able to play alongside him – easy, too!
“There are lots of great players in this squad but that's normal for Inter. This club has always had world-class players.”
