SINGAPORE – Antonio Candreva praised Inter’s teamwork after they beat Bayern Munich 2-0 in the International Champions Cup Singapore on Thursday.
"We attacked and defended as a team and that’s exactly what the boss asked of us," said the Italian wide man. "He wants lots of movement in both phases of the game. We’re working on that and we want to hit top form as soon as possible."
Candreva agreed that the win over Bayern was a great result for Inter, but cautioned against reading too much into the victory.
"Wins always bring confidence and belief and help to boost your character," he began. "That said, we know that this is only the very beginning and we still have a lot of work to do to improve."
