NANJING – Speaking aboard the Nerazzurri’s plane to Nanjing, Jeison Murillo told Inter Channel of his excitement at meeting Inter’s fans in China.
"It’s a pleasure to visit China, to feel the support of the fans and to sign autographs," said the Colombian defender. "Our owners are Chinese so I’m sure the fans in this part of the world are going to be very passionate.”
Murillo made it clear he was taking the long flight in his stride.
"It’s a long journey but I’m used to it because whenever I go back to my country the flights last for hours," he said. "It’s always nice to travel with Inter. Usually I watch a film or chat with the people sitting around me, but it depends on a few things."
The Nerazzurri defender also revealed that he was expecting the team’s pre-season preparations to step up a gear in China.
"It’s always different when you’re away on tour," he said. "We focused more on fitness up in the mountains but now we’re going to be playing more matches, which is more enjoyable. We’ve been working really hard, but that’s what you need to do to be successful."
