PINAMONTI: "I’M PURELY FOCUSED ON IMPROVING"

The youngster shared his thoughts after the friendly win against WSG Wattens

RISCONE DI BRUNICO – Andrea Pinamonti found the back of the net against WSG Wattens on Sunday afternoon, scoring Inter’s first goal of pre-season ahead of the 2017/18 campaign.

His goal set the Nerazzurri on their way to a 2-1 win over their opponents, and he shared his thoughts on proceedings after the game.

"Thanks for your all your kind words, but goals are the result of advice from the boss and the help of my team-mates," he said.

"Being the back-up to Mauro Icardi? I’m just thinking about getting better and making the most of the opportunities that I have. Results come when you work hard and my future depends on the work I do each and every day."

The young striker been coached closely by Luciano Spalletti in the first few days of the Nerazzurri’s summer training camp.

"Learning from such a great coach is a privilege. The boss has given me specific pieces of advice, about movement as the spearhead of the team. His time and attention has been good for me -  I’m a young player and I need to listen to everything he tells me."
