RISCONE DI BRUNICO – After coming through his first training session in Brunico, Joao Miranda said he and his team-mates are determined to put in the hard yards over the summer to get ready for a big season.
The Brazilian was sharing his thoughts with Inter Channel after training with new boss Luciano Spalletti for the first time.
"The first session went well. Spalletti is a great coach and he did well at Roma,” the 32-year-old began.
“We all want to win things and we're keen to get an excellent pre-season under our belts to knock ourselves into shape and lay the groundwork for a big season.
“Our aim is to get back into the Champions League but we want to start winning straight away. This is a great club and we want to be competing with Europe's best again.
“It feels good to get out on the pitch again. I'm happy to be here – this is my job, after all!”
