KRAKOW – Italy U21 have got off to a great start at the Euros in Poland, defeating Denmark 2-0 in the opening match of Group C.
Roberto Gagliardini played the whole match, as Luigi Di Biagio’s young players got the three points. Both goals came in the second half: a stunning overhead kick by Lorenzo Pellegrini in the 54th minute and a deft touch by Andrea Petagna four minutes from the end.
The Azzurrini are in action next on Wednesday 21 June in Tychy against the Czech Republic.
