GENOA – Gary Medel has addressed Inter's poor performance in losing to Genoa this afternoon.
"It's a tough situation and we're trying to get out of it all together," said the Chilean midfielder, who was filling in defence today. "It's not a technical or even a physical issue; maybe it's mental.
"We want to solve it as a team. Europe is out of our hands but we hope to pick up three points at home to Sassuolo. We had chances but we didn't take them. We shall try to win our next three games.
"Inter are a top side that shouldn't be in this situation. We apologise to the fans and we understand the frustration is huge. Mentally it's tough to take because we've lost ground in recent games. We have to work hard to prove we're the true Inter."
