MILAN - Nerazzurri sporting director Piero Ausilio spoke to Mediaset Premium shortly before the Milan derby.
"The lads have trained really well this week. We've prepared for this game exactly as we should have. Now we'll see what happens on the pitch," he began.
Asked if Europa League qualification is now Inter's target, Ausilio replied: "That's where we're at at the moment because we want to be playing in Europe. Obviously, though, a club like ours should be playing in the Champions League. We hoped we could nick third place thanks to the fantastic results the team obtained over the last few months. Inter were off the pace when Pioli joined and the team needed an identity and a playing style. He gave them that and one bad week doesn't change things."
As for Gagliardini's visit to Juventus Stadium: "Inter v AC Milan is all that matters now. Roberto is a very serious lad and a top professional. We're very happy with him."
