MILAN - After winning the 15th edition of the Tracco Fossa Memorial, Inter's Under-15s have also claimed the competition named after Carletto Annovazzi. The Nerazzurri have lifted the domestic trophy for the Giovanissimi age group for the fourth straight year, once again beating AC Milan in the final.
Marco Mandelli's 2002 crop saw off Enotria 2-0 in the semi-finals, before edging out AC Milan on penalties. The scoreline was goalless after extra time, before Anane came to the fore, saving two Rossoneri penalties. Successful spot-kicks from Esposito, Simic, Oristanio and Guedegbe clinched a 4-2 shootout victory to once again land Inter the trophy.
The Nerazzurri also claimed individual awards. Anane was named goalkeeper of the tournament, while Pirola won the prize for best player.
