SESTO SAN GIOVANNI – Inter Under-19s resumed Primavera league duties with three points on Saturday as goals by Carraro and Souare sealed a 2-0 victory against Cagliari.
After a fast-paced start to encounter, Carraro broke the deadlock in the 8th minute when he slammed into the top corner from outside the box.
Two minutes later the midfielder placed a pinpoint cross onto the head of Karlo Butic, but the striker was denied by the bar.
Matteo Lombardoni was also thwarted by the woodwork midway through the half as Inter pressed for a second and it came in the 40th minute when Soure fired home from the edge of the box.
The Nerazzurri eased off in the second period but held on to claim the win – their 10th at home in the league this season – that takes them up to 56 points and confirms their place at the summit of Group C.
