TURIN - Inter suffered a setback in the race for Champions League football on Saturday as they were forced to settle for a point at Torino.
In a match played at a frenetic pace by both sides, Geoffrey Kondogbia opened the scoring midway through the first half, squirming free of three players before firing beneath Joe Hart.
The hosts got themselves an equaliser five minutes later when Daniele Baselli stooped to head in from a corner as the first period ended 1-1.
In the second half Afriyie Acquah handed Torino the lead with an unstoppable finish from the edge of the box but just two minutes later Antonio Candreva volleyed Inter level.
The Nerazzurri had several chances to snatch a winner in the dying stages but a combination of fine goalkeeping by the England No.1 and poor finishing meant they had to settle for a single point.
