U19S PUT FOUR PAST TERNANA

A second-half deluge (Vanheusden, Belkheir, Cagnano, Souare) ensures Stefano Vecchi's boys maintain their five-point lead at the top of Group C

MILAN – Inter U19s took another step towards qualifying for the end-of-season finals with swashbuckling second-half routing of Ternana on Saturday.

Having dominated the opening 45 minutes but been unable to find a breakthrough, the Nerazzurri got the lead they deserved two minutes into the second period when Zinho Vanheusden turned in from close range following a corner.

Mouhamed Belkheir made it 2-0 in the 58th minute and seconds later it was three as Andrea Cagnano fired home via a deflection.

Moussa Souare completed the scoring six minutes from time.

A fourth straight win for Stefano Vecchi's side takes them up to 52 points in the Group C table, five and seven points ahead of Atalanta and Roma respectively.
