CAGLIARI V INTER STAT PACK

Mauro Icardi has had a hand in 24 Inter goals this season. Joao Mario netted his first Nerazzurri strike in the reverse fixture. Miangue could face parent club

MILAN – As Inter prepare to travel to Cagliari for their 74th Serie A meeting with the Sardinian outfit, we've got together with Opta to bring you a selection of pre-match stats.

The Nerazzurri boast the better head-to-head record with 33 wins compared to Cagliari's 13, while 27 draws complete the tally.

Inter have taken more shots than any other Serie A side this season (451) while Cagliari are the team that has conceded the most attempts on goal (444) and have the league's second-worst defensive record, after Pescara.

Mauro Icardi has had a hand in 24 Serie A goals so far this term (16 scored, eight assisted) – more than any other player. He has also found the net on his last two trips to Cagliari in the league.

Antonio Candreva meanwhile has scored three against the Sardinian club in Italy's top flight – all penalties.

Ivan Perisic hasn't scored in his last five games but is yet to go six league matches without scoring this season.

Joao Mario broke his Nerazzurri duck in the reverse fixture, on his fifth Serie A appearance.

Nerazzurri academy product Senna Miangue could face his parent club tomorrow. The defender made his Inter debut earlier this season and made three league appearances before joining Cagliari on loan in January.

As a coach, Stefano Pioli has won five of his ten previous Serie A encounters with Cagliari.
