MILAN - Roberto Gagliardini is confident Inter will bounce back from the setback of losing to Roma and have a bright future ahead.
"We have a good team and great squad,” the midfielder told journalists in the mixed zone after the match. “It's just a bump in the road, although we know how important this game was. We were aware of how good Roma were and they showed it tonight.
"We were looking good at the start then we conceded that goal. Perhaps we're not quite up there with them yet.
“I don't think we played badly. We could have been a bit braver and a bit more aggressive, but they have some fantastic players and they made the most of the chances they had.”
“Refereeing? We'll look back over the match during the week but I don't think the referee really influenced things.
“We struggled a little because they were harrying us high up the pitch. We had chances to score but we didn't put them away and they made us pay for it.”
“We're not quite there yet but we've won lots of games and we're confident about the future. Now we have to focus on Cagliari.”
