MILAN – At Inter HQ, #WisdomWednesday is all about remembering some of the great players to have represented our club over the years. This week, we’re going to hear from Lothar Matthaus, who of course won the Ballon d’Or during his time with the Nerazzurri.
The German legend spent four seasons at Inter between 1988 and 1992, winning a Scudetto, an Italian Super Cup and a UEFA Cup in the process.
Matthaus has always spoken of his deep bond with Inter, revealing that his love for the club endures to this day.
"I know everything about Inter," he once said. "It’s my team and it will be forever. It’s a feeling that is difficult to explain. When I see them play, there’s a whirlwind of emotions inside of me."
