BOLOGNA – Roberto Donadoni is full of fighting talk ahead of Inter's visit to the Stadio Dall'Ara as he bids to mastermind an upturn in Bologna's fortunes.
The Rossoblu have been on a miserable run of late, suffering a humbling 7-1 home reverse against Napoli, losing to a late goal against nine-man AC Milan and then going down 3-1 to Sampdoria last time out in a game they had been winning until the 80th minute.
Speaking to the media at a news conference the day before Sunday's 12:30 CET kick-off, the Bologna boss sought to rally his troops: "Against a team like Inter we'll need to produce a concerted, compact team effort and play to our full potential.
“They'll try to take the game to us and peg us back in our own half, so we'll need to be good at exploiting the space on the break.
"We'll have to play at a very high tempo and whoever plays will need to give their absolute all right up to the end. We must be clinical enough to take the chances that come our way and make sure we respond to the bad moments.
“Inter are tough opposition and they're sure to cause problems for us but we must believe in our ability to make life hard for any opposition.”
Donadoni has named 23 players in the squad for Bologna v Inter:
Goalkeepers: Da Costa, Mirante, Sarr.
Defenders: Brignani, Helander, Krafth, Masina, M'Baye, Oikonomou, Torosidis.
Midfielders: Donsah, Dzemaili, Nagy, Pulgar, Rizzo, Silvestro, Taider, Viviani.
Forwards: Di Francesco, Krejcí, Petkovic, Sadiq, Verdi.
