MILAN – Roberto Gagliardini has called for Inter to bounce back from last weekend’s defeat to Juventus when Empoli visit San Siro on Sunday afternoon.
Speaking during an appearance at Inter Store Milano alongside Trent Sainsbury, Gagliardini insisted that confidence is high within the group despite the loss.
"We produced a great performance in Turin but sadly we weren’t able to pick up any points," said the Inter midfielder, taking a break from signing autographs and posing for selfies. "We need a win against Empoli to get back on track. We’ll be without big players, but our strength lies in the group and I’m sure whoever plays will do well.
"We’re preparing the match in great detail and on Sunday we’ll ensure we’re ready."
Gagliardini also revealed the special request the fans had made during his time at the Inter Store.
"They asked me to score! Everyone loves fantasy football so they want the bonus points! It’s always nice to spend the afternoon with our fans. I’m buzzing – there were loads of people too."
