PALERMO – As all Nerazzurri fans living around the country know, one of the highlights of the season is when Inter come to play a league game in your local area. It may well be the only chance you get to show your support for your favourite team all year.
"It’s always a special moment for local Inter Club members when the team come to play in Sicily," explains regional Inter Club coordinator Francesco Scuderi. "It’s a chance for many of them to express their passion and see the team play in the flesh. These experiences only increase our love for the Nerazzurri."
It was certainly an exciting day for the local Inter fans on Sunday, despite the heavy rain. The Nerazzurri dug in to find a win on the pitch, as Inter Club members had the chance to see old friends and strike up new relationships in the stands.
"We wanted to show our love for Inter so we decided to get together with some other members to create a tifo for the game," say Antonio and Sebastiano Castro, respectively the president and secretary of Inter Club Villasmundo. "It was a way of showing our passion – despite the distance, Sicily is black and blue!"
