PALERMO – Antonio Candreva urged his Inter team-mates to maintain their current run of form after his assist helped the Nerazzurri sink Palermo in Sicily on Sunday.
"We dropped lots of points in games like this earlier in the season," admitted Candreva after the final whistle. "We have to look to catch up with other sides who are doing very well, so we need to keep our heads down and work hard. We’ve achieved nothing yet but there’s a long way to go. We need to focus on ourselves and produce more of the same."
Candreva also praised his team-mates for their persistence at the Stadio Renzo Barbera.
"We had to be patient today but it was a good performance," said the Italian. "We created lots of chances in the first half and were a little unlucky at times. The winner came after the break so we’re delighted."
