PRIMAVERA: INTER 3-0 GENOA

The U19s make it five wins on the bounce thanks to a Souare hat-trick and end the first half of the season top of their group

MILAN – Stefano Vecchi's Primavera began 2017 in style, comfortably beating Genoa 3-0 at the Suning Development Centre and strengthening their grip on top of Group C.

Moussa Souare was the star of the show, scoring all three Nerazzurri goals.

Inter set out to get control of the contest straight away, putting pressure on the Genoa defence from kick-off. It took 19 minutes to break the deadlock, when Souare won the ball back from a Rossoblu defender and struck into the corner.

Rigoberto Rivas had a chance to double Inter's advantage in the 40th minute but saw his effort cannon off the post after a first-time effort from distance. Three minutes later, however, Souare left his marker for dead with a delightful move and struck past the Genoa keeper for 2-0.

The young Guinean striker completed his hat-trick early in the second half, popping up at the far post to turn in Rivas' precise cross.
