MARBELLA - Eder is adamant that the hard graft Inter are putting in on their training camp in Southern Spain will help them carry their 2016 form into the new year.
The Nerazzurri travel to Udinese on Sunday for their first competitive fixture of 2017 looking to extend their winning run, following consecutive Serie A victories over Genoa, Sassuolo and Lazio in December.
"We're working well and trying to build on the results we picked up before the break. We know how important this game against Udinese is so we're working hard to be ready for it," the Italy striker said in an exclusive interview with Mediaset Premium in Marbella.
“Udinese are in good form and they're a tough proposition but so are we. It won't be easy but we'll go there to win.
"[Stefano] Pioli has been getting us to work on every little detail since he arrived and it's been the same on this training gamp. We've had fitness tests and played the tournament in La Linea – we really are grafting hard.
“When we're able to reproduce the gaffer's ideas in games it brings us results. We're working as a team with the right level of tension. We know we're a great team and we've shown that but we have to do it consistently.
“We have to believe we can finish in the top three. There are still 60 points to play for, so it's entirely down to us.
“I don't have any personal targets for 2017; I just want the team to do well. If the team are playing well, it helps the individual players to do so too.
“We must give 100% at all times, whether we start the game or come off the bench. I try to make sure I'm ready to step up whenever I'm needed, although there are some fantastic forwards at Inter.
“I don't want to change clubs in January. I'm just focusing on doing well at Inter.”
