DI FRANCESCO: "UNITY IN THE FACE OF ADVERSITY"

Sassuolo boss gees up his threadbare squad ahead of Sunday's lunchtime kick-off: "I want a really compact unit fighting with grit and determination"

SASSUOLO - Eusebio De Francesco has ordered Sassuolo to forget about their mounting injury concerns and pull together as a team when Inter visit Mapei Stadium on Sunday.

The Neroverdi coach has a full treatment toom to contend with but is adamant his side can overcome their problems with the right mentality.

"I want to see us playing as a really compact unit tomorrow. We'll have to fight with grit and determination,” he told journalists at a press conference on the eve of the game.

Di Francesco then had a few words to say about Stefano Pioli's team.

"Inter have an excellent coach and we're preparing for this match without knowing how they're going to set up tactically.

"They also have some top players. Brozovic came into his own against Genoa and won the match for them."

Sassuolo v Inter kicks off at 12:30 CET on Sunday.
