MILAN - Ivan Perisic was delighted with Inter's scintillating first-half display against Fiorentina but feels it was tempered by their second-half performance, when the Nerazzurri struggled to put 10-man Fiorentina to the sword until Mauro Icardi netted the fourth in the dying minutes.
The Croatian was one of the Inter's liveliest performers on the night as they raced into an early 3-0 lead only to find themselves holding on at times with the score at 3-2 after the restart.
"We were good in the first half because we really got at them right from the off and managed to score three early on," he began. "We found it a bit harder in the second half when playing 11 against 10 and that's something we need to work on.
“We fashioned loads of chances and [Ciprian] Tatarusanu kept them in it a few times but we still managed to score four goals and that's clearly a positive.
"We've been scoring a lot recently but we're making too many mistakes and we still have work to do if we want to improve.”
