FACCHETTI DELIGHTS IN "INDESCRIBABLE EMOTION"

Inter Channel caught up with Vecchi's assistant after this evening's game: "We have to thank the squad, they showed great willingness from day one"

MILAN – There was another interesting subplot to Inter v Crotone at San Siro today, as club legend Giacinto Facchetti's son was sat on the bench as assistant coach.

Luca Facchetti, Stefano Vecchi's number two, spoke to the Nerazzurri television channel after the match.

"It was unquestionably an amazing experience that we'll remember forever," he revealed. "We have to thank the squad because they showed great willingness from day one and followed our instructions.

"We knew Crotone could hurt us on the counter. We could have exploited a few chances in the first half better, but we also knew that as soon as we'd broken the deadlock, more space would open up.

"The fact we spend every day at Appiano Gentile has made us feel at home these past few days," Facchetti concluded. "Being sat on that bench, especially for someone who is Nerazzurri at heart, was an indescribable emotion."
