MILAN – It was a frustrating trip to Genoa on Sunday for Frank de Boer’s Inter side, as they were beaten 1-0 thanks to a first-half goal from Fabio Quagliarella at Marassi.

We’ve teamed up with Opta to bring you all the need-to-know stats on the match.

- Sampdoria have won two of their last four Serie A matches against Inter, having previously gone eight meetings without a win.

- Inter have lost five of their opening 11 matches of the season, their worst start to a Serie A campaign since the 2011/12 season.

- Last year, it took Inter 22 rounds of Serie A to lose five matches.

- Inter have now conceded the first goal in eight of their 11 league games so far this season, the worst record in all of Serie A.

- There were just two shots on target in the second half at Marassi. No match in Serie A has seen fewer shots on target in the second 45 minutes this season.

- Inter played in 36 crosses from open play against Sampdoria. Only Lazio have supplied more crosses in a single game this season – 41 against Bologna.

- Fabio Quagliarella has scored two goals in his last two games against Inter in Serie A. Before that, Quagliarella had managed just one in 18 against the Nerazzurri.

- Cristian Ansaldi made 97 passes against Sampdoria, at least 26 more than any player on the home side.
