VERONA – Matteo Lombardo’s Under 16 Serie A and B side slipped to their first defeat of the season as they lost 2-1 at Chievo Verona on Sunday afternoon.
The Nerazzurri found themselves 1-0 down after just two minutes, with Chievo then content to sit back and play on the counter. Inter were made to wait until the start of the second half for their equaliser, Edoardo Vergani scoring his eighth goal of the season.
And although Inter dominated the rest of the contest, it was Chievo who took the three points after Rossi fired home a stoppage-time penalty to make it 2-1.
