MILAN – Cristian Ansaldi was next up to speak to Inter Channel, stressing the importance and good timing of this evening's victory.
"The important thing was that we won," the Argentine defender declared after the final whistle, "which is what the team needed. Perhaps we've been missing some courage and heart in recent games.
"Only by working hard can we get back to where we want to be in the league table.
"We knew it was going to be tough," Ansaldi continued. “They are a great team and that's why I said we won through heart and guts.
"My recovery is going well, the first few days back on the pitch weren't easy and I can only get match fitness by playing more.
"Frank de Boer is a great coach and he's our coach. Mauro Icardi's goals were fantastic and he's vital for us."
